This was my first run after work since June! I’m a teacher and I was on summer vacation during the months of July and August. Today was an exhausting day at work, because there’s no air conditioning in my building and the weather was hot and humid! I spent the day setting up my classroom (moving furniture, books, boxes, etc.), meeting about our new curriculum in the sweltering cafeteria, and planning lessons for the first couple of weeks. I also helped our librarian release a mouse she had caught in the library!
By the end of the day, I was soaked with sweat, but I still decided to go for a run! This was one of my most difficult runs ever, because I just felt so exhausted! Maybe I was dehydrated due to being in the heat and humidity all day, or maybe I just have to get used to waking up earlier… Anyway, in the middle of my third mile I approached a steep hill and decided to walk it instead of run. Once I made it over the hill, I resumed running.
I’m surprised at my time for this workout! I really felt like I was going much slower!
